Testimonials

Ana Nova, Palo Alto, California
“I signed up for a course at a college campus and studied to get a caregiving certificate. It took me the whole summer. I learned more with Caregiver Training University’s course than in the college campus course. You really do understand caregiving in the home.” Ana Nova — Palo Alto, California

Thank you for assisting me with my questions about your caregiver training program to meet the new California training requirements. The course was easy to follow and I really enjoyed the suggested movie and book list. The wallet size card is nice to be able to show my clients.

Taisha Brooks

I passed my training the first time I took the exam and appreciate the e-mail congratulations. The t-shirt and lapel pin box was also a nice surprise. Thanks for all the fun information. Love, love, love the t-shirt!

$59 for the online training course, or $79 to include a caregiver t-shirt and lapel pin.
How long does the course take?
You may read the material and watch the videos at your own pace. Extra time is built in for studying and taking the exam. The exam goes quickly and you see your score as you go.
What score is required to pass?
A score of 75% or higher is required to pass. You may re-take the exam up to 2 additional times and receive a new set of questions each time. Your highest score will count, making it a great way to review and retain the material.
What training requirements does my state require?
Each state has its own caregiver training mandates, and requirements can vary for seniors vs. those with disabilities. Annual requirements range from 2 to 76 hours. Review your state’s training requirements.
Does this training meet long-term care insurance (LTCI) requirements?
Yes. Most LTCI companies require caregivers to provide proof of training certification. If your state has no specific mandate, our 8-hour Basic Skills Training provides the certification LTCI companies require. We have worked with every LTCI company in the market and are happy to help — contact us with questions.
How difficult is the training?
The course is designed to clearly explain medical terms and legal requirements (such as HIPAA) to anyone. No prior experience in senior care is required. You’ll feel empowered and better prepared to provide care when you finish.
What devices can I use?
Any device with internet access: smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. No app needed. Our responsive design adapts to any screen size, and our cloud-based platform delivers a fast, seamless experience.
Do you provide training for Medicaid agencies, assisted living, and hospices?
Yes. Caregiver training requirements vary by state and care setting, including Medicaid home care agencies, private duty agencies, assisted living communities, residential assisted living, and hospices. Review your state’s mandates and purchase the course that matches your needs.
Is Alzheimer’s and memory loss training included?
Many state training mandates include care for those with memory loss. Florida requires a specific memory loss module, which is available. Our courses cover how to engage clients with Alzheimer’s Disease, improve communication, and help families navigate the stages of memory loss.
Do you provide Sexual Harassment Prevention Training?
Yes. Many states now require all employees to understand how to identify, report, and prevent sexual harassment. This training is especially relevant for caregivers working with seniors who may have memory loss.
Do you provide training for veteran’s care?
Yes. Care requirements for veterans align with each state’s caregiver training program topics.
